Unable to make their love last forever, James Marsden is parting ways with his wife, Lisa Linde.
The “Straw Dogs” actor and the daughter of country songwriting legend Dennis Linde have filed for divorce after having been married since 200.
The split comes as the now ex-couple are parents to two children, a son and a daughter.
Not giving much detail, it was Linde who filed for divorce on September 23rd, citing irreconcilable differences.
With an opening scene slated to be filmed in Istanbul, Bond 23, the tentatively titled newest entry into the 007 franchise (turning fifty next year), is already exciting enough, but with the latest casting news just out, things may even be more exciting than expected. Little known French beauty Berenice Marlohe, whose only acted in small roles in a couple of films and television shows in France, is probably the next Bond girl to hit the screen. Though she’s unknown, the director Sam Mendes reportedly wants exactly that, a younger but glamorous unknown to compliment Daniel Craig’s James Bond, and Marlohe fits the bill perfectly. Other hot Bond news includes Felix Leiter (played by Jeffrey Wright) leaving the franchise, and possible scenes being filmed in India. The screenplay has already been written by screen writers John Logan (The Aviator), and Bond alumni Robert Wade and Neal Purvis. There’s even a slated release date, though no filming has commenced yet, if all goes well it’ll hit screens November 9th, 2012.
This weekend I’m going to take myself to the movies to see Machine Gun Preacher (starring hottie Gerard Butler), which is based on a true story of an American ex-con who ends up saving the lives of hundreds of orphans in war-torn Sudan. I’ve actually heard great things about the film (and Mr. Butler’s performance), plus the good people over at Virgin Mobile are donating four water wells to aid the current situation in Sudan, helping to provide access to clean and safe water. After executives at Universal sat down and realized that they just can’t throw Eugene Levy in a teen sex comedy and call it an American Pie movie, they came up with American Reunion, because holy crap Hollywood has completely run out of ideas! Anyway, the salaries of the film’s actors have leaked to The Hollywood Reporter, and by the sound of it, perpetual lady of mess Tara Reid is doing really well. By which I mean she’s earning less money than the actors everyone forgot existed!
According to sources, Universal is paying Jason Biggs and Seann William Scott a robust $5 million each, plus a small slice of first-dollar gross, to reprise their roles. Alyson Hannigan, star of CBS’ How I Met Your Mother, is getting about $3 million. And veteran Eugene Levy, who starred in four profitable direct-to-DVD Pie films that helped make the property a billion-dollar franchise, is said to have received a payday also in the $3 million range. The rest of the cast — which includes Chris Klein, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Natasha Lyonne, Jennifer Coolidge, Mena Suvari and Shannon Elizabeth — is being paid far less, say sources, most in the $500,000 to $750,000 range (though bonuses for some could kick in if the film is a hit, as expected). Rounding out the list is Tara Reid, who is said to have joined Reunion for close to the $250,000 that Universal initially offered. A studio rep calls the figures “inaccurate” but declines further comment.
All right, so here’s the shittiest part: No, it’s not the fact that Tara is getting paid the least, because no offense to her but she’s a terrible actress who drank away her career. No, it’s the fact that the most successful member of the cast, Alyson Hannigan, who starred on two of the biggest TV shows of the last decade, is earning less money that Jason Biggs (who?) and Stifler. Seriously. If you ever needed irrefutable proof that women aren’t treated with the same respect as men, there’s your proof!
So this week, I popped over (as you do) to Stockholm in Sweden for a day – the home of Björn Borg underpants and I could not get this image out of my head – it is from their new campaign, Björn Borg says JA! to no underwear. Literally amazing.
In other news, the Thierry Mugler show in Paris for SS12 took place on Wednesday. The clothes might not have gone down all that well, but I have fallen head over heels in love with the Inez & Vinoodh fashion film to launch the collection starring Lady Gaga along with an exclusive remix by DJ White Shadow of her track Black Jesus † Amen Fashion.
